First, Home Sweet Home

I made this card for my close girlfriend who has just moved out on her own for the very first time.
I remember my very first apartment it was great, and still the best thing I ever did. I moved 800klm away from home to the BIG city from the little city. It was only 700' sq feet but the best thing was, it was only 1 block away from the largest shopping mall in the entire city. I don't think I was ever home after a days work for very long. There was always something going on over at the mall to do, not to mention the largest movie theater in Canada had just been built, I was never bored!

 The photograph does not do this card justice as the outside layer is Echo Park Paper Co. designer paper, Country Drive/Dandelion and the inside is Stampin Up Very Vanilla card stock. The cut image is from the Silhouette Online Store Sunny Day.

Teacher Thanks so much!

The end of the school year is near, 12 days to be exact! This is a teacher thank you pencil shaped card. Isn't it quaint it's only 2.5"x7" big, "But oh so cute". The image is from Whimsie Doodles pencil shaped card image file. I played around with the sizing a bit to get a size I liked. I inked up all the edges and it really popped out the dimension of the layers.

Winter Fun

Hi Everyone,

Wow it really does seem like forever since I blogged, and yes it has been forever. I have been busy for the past couple of months, 1 was to get ready for my craft sale and 2 was to fill orders that I received from my craft sale. So with that said I still have not had the chance to work on my own personal Christmas cards that I'd like to send out to family and friends and I'm running out of time.

But here is one card I am happy to share with you, it is for an order. My customer wanted a money holder type card but a card that can also be displayed as a Christmas ornament afterwards. Like always a little challenging especially when you don't know the person receiving it personally.

Oh boy, has my Cricut sure gotten a workout from this season. I have created most of my cards cutting with it. On this card I used the Winter Frolic cartridge and gave it lots of layers, and lots of pop dots, just how I like it. You can never use enough pop dots!

Transformer Card

A birthday request for a little boy turning 4 who loves Transformers.
This image was fairly simple to turn into a Cut File, just a bit of tweaking with the size and I made it all fit perfectly for a 5" card. I layered all the cut images with pop dots so the Transformers symbol would stand out.

A Cabby Thank You!

I made this card for a dear friend of mine, who's little boy goes to school by cabby. This is a Thank You card for the driver. Our taxi's here are not yellow but we thought it was appropriate.

I designed the card myself using SCAL, and created each layer separately. I am getting much better at this the more I do it.
