Birthday Girl

This weeks card is for a few of my girlfriends birthday's this summer.
It also gave me the chance to ink up some of my newly purchased stamps. It was unusual for me as I have gotten so used to using digital stamps and the ability to re-size images where you can't with clear pvc stamps, so it was a nice change up.

Summer Birthday

Summer has arrived and with the hot humidity of the days, brings in the wild thunder and lighting storms in the evenings. This summer we have had our fair share of hail storms and tornado watches.

As we approach week #31 of the year so does the end of summer projects and soon to get started on fall and winter projects. I really don't know where the first 6 months of the year went but they flew by for me how about you?

Today I am showing off a summer birthday card to be giving to an Uncle from his niece and nephew. I was able to use some of the latest papers I bought while on my holidays and I just love all the bright colors the Echo Park Paper Co. Splash Kit has to off.

Baby Boy Rocking Horse

I am back from holidays and I had a great holiday out in Calgary, Alberta. I hit all of my favorite scrap booking stores and I loaded up on embossing folders, spellbinders, copics & stamps.

This has been a huge year for babies as many of my friends are expecting. I have been trying to get cards made and crocheted blankets done. Here are a couple baby boy cards I started before going on holidays. I used the Bundle of Joy SVG Kit from the company svgcuts.

I made two cards, this one has only the hair and bridal embossed:

On the second card I embossed the entire horse, hair & bridal:

I can't decide on which card I like more to make multiples of, they both turned out really cute. And when you stand the card up it actually rocks just like a rocking horse. You can click on the images to get a better view of the embossing.
