Whalecome, New Baby

I originally saw a version of this card on Pinterest so I knew wanted to CASE it with the stamp set that I owned. You can view it on the Papertrey Ink Forum here, I only owned the Stampin! Up set Oh Whale.

Here's how I made my card, I stamped the crumb cake card stock panel with whisper white ink whales and heat set them with an embossing gun. I stamped a bashful blue whale onto whisper white card stock and cut it out with the happy whale clearlits die through the cuttlebug. I then stamped the verse from the friendly phrases set onto bashful blue card stock and cutout a banner shape. I pop dotted the banner, whale and one of the pacific point(blue) hearts. The hearts were random sized punches I had on hand.

STAMPS: SU Oh Whale, Friendly Phrases.
PAPER: SU Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Pacific Point.
INK: SU Whisper White, Bashful Blue. PTI True Black.
TOOLS: Cuttlebug, Sizzix Clearlits Happy Whale, Embossing Gun, Heart Punches.
SUPPLIES: Pop Dots.

Fare-Whale old Pal

After working for 6 days straight I couldn't wait for today's day off.    I planned today to sit down and play with some of my new Stampin! Up Spring 2013 stamps. I'm really loving the cuteness of the Oh Whale! set and coordinating Sunshine and Sprinkles Designer Paper.  A simple 2D card with a bit of 2nd generation stamping, I think it turned out great!

This card was made in mind of a dear friend of mine Jalyn whom is leaving for art school in Vancouver at the end of this week. I hope she loves it there, and misses me terribly as I know I'll miss her and her crazy zombie references.
