Lake Arising

This was one of my most challenging cards I've ever been asked to create. It does not come with happiness, but with loss of one's home, belongings and devastation amongst many people. An act of Mother nature with rising water and flooding.

These card's were made as a thank you for the people who helped this family in the sand bagging and preparation for the rising levels that were to hit their home.

First, Home Sweet Home

I made this card for my close girlfriend who has just moved out on her own for the very first time.
I remember my very first apartment it was great, and still the best thing I ever did. I moved 800klm away from home to the BIG city from the little city. It was only 700' sq feet but the best thing was, it was only 1 block away from the largest shopping mall in the entire city. I don't think I was ever home after a days work for very long. There was always something going on over at the mall to do, not to mention the largest movie theater in Canada had just been built, I was never bored!

Curbside view looking up to the 3rd floor

My little kitchen

The photograph does not do this card justice as the outside layer is Echo Park Paper Co. designer paper, Country Drive/Dandelion and the inside is Stampin Up Very Vanilla card stock. The cut image is from the Silhouette Online Store Sunny Day.

A very clean and simple Father's Day card, using Stampin! Up's Wetlands set. I case'd this card from, Featured Friday Card Maker, Carol E., Casper, WY and the Operation Write Home.

Where I live we have a lot of Canadian geese that migrate every year south but then come back to have there baby goslings. PAPER: DP Misc Wedding Kit, SU Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Whisper White. Bazzil Black.

Strawberry Basket Card In a Box

Here is my first attempt at making, a card in a box. It is the latest craze on Pinterest for cards. I used the Box Cards SVG Kit from SVGcuts. The hardest thing making this was choosing my cardstock and designer paper.

The neatest thing about this card is that it folds down to fit into an envelope. What recipient would love to get a niffy card like this.

INK: SU Garden Green, Old Olive.

Bunnies, Up in the Air

I sat and made this card back in February but can't believe I'm only getting it blogged now, I'm sorry blog you are being soOoOo unloved! Though I don't make as many cards as I used to do to health problems I still Pinterest, demo, and buy some of the latest products. When I'm feeling up to it I just give 'er...

I used two different stamp sets here SU Ears to you and SU Up in the Air and masked off the daisy's from the Up in the Air set and only stamped the butterflies. I love the added effect it gave to the sitting bunnies.

I kept this card very simple and use the little scraps that were left over from the base, which is a new color for this year Smokey Slate and my first time using it in a card. The butterflies needed something so I added some clear glitter to there wings and it helped them stand out
