1st Birthday Bash

We are almost at mid year, where did the first six months go? Oh yeah, it's been cold, rainy & non-summer like conditions. I've been so tired lately that I want to craft but when I sit down and try I just want to go to bed. Hopefully this will pass sooner than later!

Here is a really cute card for a little boy that is turning 1 years old. I cut the wording from the Cricut Classic Font Cartridge, and this cute little bear is from C.C. Designs Pixie Pets Birthday Bash DIGI Image.

The color challenge is from Color Q:

The sketch challenge I used was from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge:

Air Balloon Thank You

Can you believe it is the 25th week of the year and that mean's summer is officially here now. Come out sunshine we really need you. There is a lot of flooding going on in the part of Canada I live in. Crops are not able to be planted and the creeks, lakes and rivers are overflowing there banks and destroying many homes. My heart goes out to anyone who has suffered from these disasters!

I got a new Cricut cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards and played with it a bit, I used the hot air balloon from this cartridge and for the sun I cut that from the Simply Charmed cartridge. No color challenge was used this week but I used up several papers from my scraps and also tried out a new paper pad by K & Company, Lemon Citron.

My sketch is from this Monday's Mojo Monday:

Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Since Father's Day is this Sunday, June 19th I better post the cards I have made. I'm feeling a little behind as everyone posted their FD cards last week.

I made two cards from the sheet of designer paper I had, one side of the sheet has a rainbow and swing set and the other side has a park and a pond. Though most of it is covered up by the Little Mower boy... the cards still look great!

I cut the grass on the Cricut with a SVG file and cut the circle out of acetate as I didn't want to loose the detail of the pretty paper and knew right away I wanted to used my dimensional bee's that I have been hoarding in my stash. The bee's really finished this card nicely :)

The color combination is by My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge #13:

Happy Birthday Sis!

A bright floral card, exactly what any sister would like for there June Birthday. I based my card stock on the colors from the Simply Delightful designer paper and pulled out Cajan Craze, So Saffron, Baja Breeze and a hint of Pink Pirouette for my colors.
I used the Stampin Up embossing folder Elegant Bouquet on the rectangular piece of So Saffron. I thought it complimented the designer paper so well, I wrapped white and teal twine around the card and it just finished my card.

The sketch if from Splitcoast Stampers;

I Sea it's your Birthday

We've only had a few warm days here with sunshine, but we've had a lot of rain and all the plants are very green this spring. I'm really in a beach kind of mood so I got a little creative with this weeks Mojo Monday.

I wanted to feel like I was at the sea with bright blue waves and snorkeling with the fish in the coral reef.
Here is a close up isn't this cute:

I turned the Mojo Monday #194 sketch horizontal to make my card,

All I did was cut a 1" strip of the fish from the designer paper and I cut the waves on the Cricut from and SVG file from baja breeze paper. I sponged the waves with baja breeze ink to give them some depth and pop dotted a couple of them for dimension.

I hope everyone is having a good week.

Golfing Birthday

I great card for the golf lover in your family! I think this card is nicely put together with a whole golf theme in mind, from the embossed golf ball made with the Cuttlebug embossing folder Tiny Bubbles. To the argyle printed designer paper as a background, from the Warm Wishes Page Kit by Colorbok.

My original idea is by Emma Wood, I CASED her card and put my own tweak to it. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday #146.

I loved this digital image from Digi Stamp Boutique.

Gnome Anniversary

What a fun anniversary card, with these cute little gnomes from Whimsie Doodles. My Aunt & Uncle celebrated there 50th Anniversary this weekend, how adorable I thought these little gnomes where completely them as they love to camp.

I'm quite good with graphic programs, so I took the man gnome and layered him in front of the sitting gnome with transparent edges. You would never know these are two very different digital images. Believe me it's taken years of practice and many tutorials to learn how to work the program.

I used this Monday's Mojo Monday, #193:

And a color challenge from last year as I had my gnomes colored before I had a paper palette to work with and found cQc#62,

I colored the gnomes with Copics, (too many colors to mention) and I paper pieced the girl gnomes clothes from DCWV- Citrus Mat Stack.

Have a good weekend and thanks for stopping by! Leave a comment or become a follower you can never have enough crafty friends.
