This card has a lot of color but has a vintage look to it, still modern though different. The sketch I used is Monday's Mojo Monday #188.

Circus Baby Lion...it's a boy!

I had some playtime this week, which meant I needed to get going on some baby cards for a few of my girlfriends who are expecting this summer, (four girlfriends to be exact) and none of them are finding out the sex of the baby(~babies one friend is having twins..yay~) until it/they arrive.

A super cute digi image from Whimsie Doodles called Circus Baby Lion. There is a group of 6 Circus Babies you can choose from. The sketch I used is from Mojo Monday week 187. I've been practicing a lot with my Copics on different techniques to color with them from off of Youtube.
The favorite paper for this month for me seams to be Crumb Cake!

Thanks for stopping by and have a good week :)

Easter Cupcake

Well it's mid week again and I have now finished all of my Easter orders. Phew, right till the very last minute! I tried a different color challenge this week, it's by ColorQ. Super cute spring colors and very appropriate for this card.

I also spent a little time this week watching a few copic coloring tutorials on youtube. What I've been trying to improve on is coloring hair and also light source where areas remain lighter than others. I can tell I'm going to need a bit of practice. But I tried it out on the cupcake liner and bunny face and it turned out pretty good.

And for the sketch I used this week it is from The Sweet Stop.

Thanks for hopping by!

Baby's First Easter

What a fun card this was to make for a baby's first Easter. Week #15 already, I used My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette 04 and Mojo Monday #186 Sketch. There are plenty of pop dots on this card for added dimension, the base, the image and the sentiment.

To add a few tiny details the edge of the card was sewn with a zig zag stitch on the sewing machine. Embossed dots were added to the bunny border in the center, a cute eyelet frame cut on the Cricut with just the slighted sparkle put onto the bunnies eyes.

It's been a busy week so far and soon the weekend again but before that I've got a few more Easter projects to finish. Have a good rest of the week everyone!

Hang In There

I really enjoyed making this weeks card, I was so indecisive as to what image I wanted to use. I had three to choose from and at the end I finally decided. I incorporated two challenges in this card. This Monday's Mojo Monday #185,

and this weeks My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge #03.
I went into my stash of paper stack pads and took the first sheet of paper I saw that had the color combinations I was needing for the color challenge. I love the end result!

Easter Leah Treat Box

Here is a project I've been working on for Easter. A treat box filled with Lindt chocolate shaped carrots, presented to you in a garden scene and sky blue background. Now who wouldn't want this left for them by the Easter Bunny.

I used Lauren Meader's Lolli-Pop Along template, and changed the inside holder so that it held the four chocolates. The grass and the fence are SVG files cut on the Cricut machine. I sponged the fence with close to cocoa ink to give it an aged look. Then colored Easter Leah with Copic markers and pop dotted her to the acetate front of the treat box.

Thanks for stopping by have a great weekend everyone!

~Hippity Hop, Take Two~

This is the second card I made from this Monday's Mojo Monday #184, I love how her blond hair turned out.

I used some really older Easter egg paper for the background on these cards. I thought it looked "Granny aprovable" and the doily edging and soft pastel colors made these cards very Spring like.
I love coloring with my Copics, I am self taught from reading several other blogs and watching tutorials they are very easy to work with. With taken the patience to learn :)

Have a great weekend!

~Hippity Hop, Hippty Hop~

It's the end of the week already but I am happy to say it's April. Maybe? Just maybe spring is on it's way.

I made two Easter cards from this Monday's Mojo Monday #184, one little girl with brunette hair the other with blond hair which I'll post separately.
