It took me eight attempts but the last image finally turned out how I wanted it to... (somewhat!) I really need to find a white paper that colors nicely without it starting to pile on me. Any suggestions let me know, I'll probably have to order it online as my city is very limited.
Let me tell you this is a very busy card, I started working on it Friday afternoon and completed it at 2:AM this morning. So, do you think I got anything else done on my days off? Nope, oh well that's what the rest of the week is for.
The sketch is from this weeks

The color combonation is this weeks
Color Throwdown,
CTD25 . I loved this color combo,
I have had a card base in the color orange that I've been wanting to use for a while and I knew right away this was the project for it. I just LOVE bright colors! I used my Labels One diecuts from Spellbinders to cut out the owls and added dimensionals to frame it on this really glittery designer paper. The side panels were put threw the Cuttlebug with the D'vine Swirl embossing folder, I used a corner rounder to soften the edges. The SU! ticket corner was used on the base dp. Lots of embellishments on this cute baby card, I found some at the dollar store and at the local craft store earlier today. This card looks so simple but I can't believe how long it actually took me to make. I hope you can see all the little extras, I put liquid embossing on the owls eyes, gold glitter pen on the stars and tiny dots, line of rhinestones, and the gold brass star to hold the metal tag is covered with a blue star sticker.

When did you get the new Nesties? I have been losing sleep wondering if I should order those or not.
Great cad BTW
I think this is so sweet! Stampin Up's shimmery white paper is wonderful for all kinds of coloring! That's what I use; it is heavy enough and has a really pretty shine. Thanks for playing the color throwdown--you rocked this with your cute card and all the fun embellishments!
LeAnne
